Once upon a time, there were hardly any Pagan Festivals in Tennessee. I thought it would be so wonderful to have a safe place were we could all gather and worship and commune. We found a place and had a one day event for our first adventure and it went well. The next year we tried an overnight at the same park and again it went without a hitch, Oh that is not to say a few locals didn’t drive by and glare at us. Still we had fun.
By the third year we had outgrown the little park and moved to Montgomery Bell State Park group camp in Burns, Tn. It is rustic but wonderful and we embraced it. We continued there for more than 20 years.
In 2020 we had a virtual festival due to Covid. It worked pretty well. Still we missed our folk.
In 2021 We moved to a new park Henry Horton in Chapel Hill, TN. We believed it met the needs of the changing Pagan community. It has cabins, a hotel, tent camping, RV sites and even hammock sites. The best of all worlds. We had a physical/virtual festival and it was challenging combined with a new site. Last year we celebrated our 25th anniversary, quite an achievement! We have decided that its time for PUF to own land and we are becoming a 501c3 to achieve this goal!
